Getting into a building before you get into a flat
In the Bay and around the centre, the door is rarely the problem. The building is. There is an entrance fob, sometimes a concierge who wants a name in a book, sometimes a lift that needs the fob as well, and a loading bay with twenty minutes on it if there is anywhere to stop at all.
Tell us how your building works when you book and it goes on the property rather than into somebody's head. A cleaner who has to ring you from the lobby has already lost ten minutes of your visit, and you paid for those minutes.
Small floor, hard surfaces, a lot of glass
A two bedroom apartment has less floor than a two bedroom terrace and takes longer to make look right. It is usually hard flooring throughout, which shows every mark, a shower rather than a bath, and often a balcony door and a wall of glass that dominate the room.
The minimum visit is two hours and most flats of this size use it well. If yours is a studio or a one bedroom, say so on the form: it is priced on what is there, not on a flat rate for the postcode.
Short lets and changeovers
CF10 has more short letting in it than anywhere else we cover. If you let a flat here rather than live in it, the job is a changeover rather than a clean: beds stripped and remade, linen counted, the restock checked, and photographs before the next guest walks in. That is whistle host, and the report is the point of it.
Our products, or yours
The cleaner brings what they need. If you would rather your own things were used, on a stone worktop, a treated floor, a surface that has already been ruined once by the wrong spray, leave them out and say so on the booking, and that instruction sits on the property rather than in somebody's memory.
In a flat with hard flooring throughout this matters more than anywhere else, which is why it is on this page.
Lifts, bin stores and the things a first visit finds out
Every block works differently. Some have a bin store that needs the same fob as the front door, some have a service lift you are supposed to use and a passenger lift you are not, some want the cleaner signed in at a desk.
The first visit is where all of that is discovered. It is written onto the property record when it is, so the second visit starts at your door rather than in the lobby.

In a managed block the building is the problem, not the door. Tell us how yours works when you book and it sits on the property, so the second visit starts at your door rather than in the lobby.
How we leave it
The bit you notice
We go the extra mile to make your home feel special. Little touches we know you will enjoy, on every visit.

Towels folded and squared.

The bow on the oven door.

Cushions squared, blankets stacked.

The paper folded, hotel style.

That list is the same one the quote form reads, so if a place is named here you will get a price for it, and if it is not you will get a straight no rather than a call back.
What you get
A photographic report after every visit. What was done, the reason for anything skipped, and how long the cleaner was there.
The same cleaner, named before they arrive. Not a different stranger each time.
Move or cancel any visit, free, until noon the day before. Not a phone call to somebody who will try to talk you out of it.
A price before you commit. Three answers on this page, no phone call, no survey, no card taken.
Our cleaners are not there to get out of the door. They are there to leave your home properly clean.
Every cleaner at The Whistle Co completes two weeks of formal training before their first clean, keeps training, and has their work reviewed regularly. Every room is cleaned to a detailed checklist and the finished work is photographed, so your home is in good hands.
