Cardiff
The far edge of the map
West Cardiff is the longest drive on our round. From Caerphilly to Ely in the morning is the wrong side of half an hour, and somebody pays for that in money or in lateness. We have decided it will not be you: the rate here is the rate everywhere, and what gives instead is how many slots we hold.
So we hold fewer slots here than in north Cardiff, and the visits we take are grouped into the same part of the same day rather than scattered. If we cannot fit you where you want to be, we will say that rather than take the booking and be late every time.
Three kinds of street in one postcode
Ely and Caerau are largely interwar estate housing, three bedrooms and a bathroom, gardens front and back. Fairwater and Danescourt are later and more mixed. Llandaff and St Fagans have older and larger houses in them, some of them with more rooms than the rest of the district's houses have doors.
One rate card covers all of it, because the quote is built from the rooms rather than from the address. A three bedroom house in Caerau and a three bedroom house in Llandaff take about the same time to clean, and it would be difficult to justify charging one of them more.
Once a month, done properly
For a house of this size, a monthly visit is the one we would suggest starting with. Book one, read the report that comes after it, and decide whether you want a second.
Booking a single clean before you commit
There is no contract, no joining fee and no minimum number of visits. A one-off is a real option rather than a lever to get you onto a plan, and it is the thing we would suggest first.
The only difference between it and a regular slot is the hourly rate, which is lower the more often we come. That is in the price you are shown before you book, not explained afterwards.
St Fagans, Llandaff and the larger houses
At the western end the houses get older and bigger, with more rooms, more floors and often an outbuilding somebody has turned into a room. The form goes up to five bedrooms and four bathrooms, and beyond that we would want to talk it through with you rather than let a form guess.
Book what the form can price and tell us the rest in the notes. We would rather quote a long visit accurately than a short one optimistically.
If you are out when we come, leave a key or a code. It is held encrypted and opened for one cleaner, for one visit.
