Cardiff
Two districts wearing one postcode
Cyncoed, Penylan and the streets around Roath Park are large older houses with big rooms and, often, more bathrooms than bedrooms would suggest. Pentwyn and Llanedeyrn are estate housing, newer, more compact and quicker per room. A cleaning company that prices by postcode gets one of the two wrong.
We price on what you tell us is in the house. Five bedrooms and three bathrooms produces a long visit and a price that says so, and a two bedroom flat in Pentwyn produces a short one, and both numbers come out of the same engine as the one on our front page.
The house that only needs the parts nobody does
In bigger houses, many people do not need a full clean every week. A monthly visit does the things that never get done: bathrooms properly, the kitchen fronts and the extractor, skirting, the top landing, the inside of the windows.
That is what a monthly slot is for, and it is priced accordingly. The rate per hour is a little higher than weekly because the work per visit is heavier, and the whole rate card is on the prices page rather than in a quotation somebody emails you two days later.
Roath Park and the parking
The streets nearest the park fill up early and some of them are permit only. It is worth telling us where the cleaner should actually stop, because five minutes hunting is five minutes of your visit and we would rather spend it in your kitchen.
Alarms, codes and the thirty seconds after the door
A house with an alarm is a house where the first thirty seconds decide whether the whole street hears about the visit. The code is held encrypted, it is opened for one cleaner for one visit, and it is never written down anywhere a person could read it.
If the panel is somewhere unobvious, in a cupboard, behind a door, upstairs, say so when you book. It goes on the property record with the code, and the cleaner reads it on the way in.
A bigger house, and what a visit will not include
A monthly clean of a large house is not a deep clean of every room. It is a regular clean, done properly in the hours you booked, and it is priced on every bedroom and bathroom you tell us the house has.
Every clean follows our detailed room by room checklist, and what was and was not done comes back in the report.

If you are out when we come, leave a key or a code. It is held encrypted and opened for one cleaner, for one visit.
How we leave it
The bit you notice
We go the extra mile to make your home feel special. Little touches we know you will enjoy, on every visit.

Towels folded and squared.

The bow on the oven door.

Cushions squared, blankets stacked.

The paper folded, hotel style.

That list is the same one the quote form reads, so if a place is named here you will get a price for it, and if it is not you will get a straight no rather than a call back.
What you get
A photographic report after every visit. What was done, the reason for anything skipped, and how long the cleaner was there.
The same cleaner, named before they arrive. Not a different stranger each time.
Move or cancel any visit, free, until noon the day before. Not a phone call to somebody who will try to talk you out of it.
A price before you commit. Three answers on this page, no phone call, no survey, no card taken.
Our cleaners are not there to get out of the door. They are there to leave your home properly clean.
Every cleaner at The Whistle Co completes two weeks of formal training before their first clean, keeps training, and has their work reviewed regularly. Every room is cleaned to a detailed checklist and the finished work is photographed, so your home is in good hands.
